CLINICAL NUTRITION

"Let thy food be thy medicine" - Hippocrates

Clinical nutrition not only addresses the diet, it also aims to uncover any nutrient deficiencies, and correct them with supplementation at the specifically required dose for the individuals needs.

With everyone leading such busy lives we often make nourishing our bodies with nutritious food the lowest priority, and convenience foods typical of the Western diet become the norm.
The health effects of the Western style diet or SAD, is that it can lead to inflammation in the body and even the brain, poor nutrient status subsequently leading to mood disorders, chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, autoimmune, and generally deficient in essential vitamins and minerals required to keep the body in a state of homeostasis.

Unfortunately, in this modern era relying on food alone is becoming more difficult which is where we may need extra support with supplementation, however at the end of the day getting the basics right is always the starting point.
Whether you are in need of some guidance on where to start making changes in your diet towards more whole foods or anti-inflammatory, a meal plan tailored for a chronic condition, or special circumstances such as pre and especially post natal, we can work together on a plan which is both achievable and within your means.

Clinical nutrition not only address the diet, it also aims to uncover any nutrient deficiencies, and correct them with supplementation at the specifically required dose for the individuals needs.
